It's me, Cynthia--webmistress for the new Hamilton Cellars web portal.

Good friends Stacie and Russ Hamilton are living the dream: creating their own winery business. As their techie, I get to have just as much fun; I'll be building this Web site to grow along with Hamilton Cellars.

For the interested, this site uses the Drupal CMS. Flexible, powerful and almost unbelievably versatile, Drupal makes a great choice for a site that will move through many different stages as the business grows.

Today, the site is as skinny as our little "laughing man" logo. I'm working at putting the bones together: basic modules, a beginner theme, and basics for good Web presence.

Ahead? It'll be time to create a user-friendly site with WYSIWYG editing, simple image uploads, and getting site users comfortable adding stories and blog entries.

Visitors won't be forgotten, either--as they're the reason for the site's existence! We'll offer newsletter sign-ups, a dedicated Wine Club area with premier features, and interactive options for those who wish to learn more about Washington wines--and about Hamilton Cellars.

For now, it's back to bone-crafting: building the site framework for all the joy yet to come.
